“My senior dog was tested for kidney issues. After the test results were assessed I was recommended to put him on a special diet, and ordered both wet and dry renal food from Vetopia. So far, so good. He took to the special food quite quickly, it is more tasty than alternatives which I gave to my (now deceased) dog in the past, and since kidney/urinary tract problems are fairly common in this breed, at a certain age, I am fairly confident that he can maintain his quality of life for the foreseeable future.
The pouch is the most convenient package for wet food. I tried canned, renal diet food in the past and besides the matter of disposing of the cans I found the ring-pull tops quite difficult to open. Since the prices are comparable, and my dog is a tiny one (3.7 kg), the Royal Canin Early Renal pouch wet food is just about optimal. Served on top of dry food, the biscuits from the same source, in small bite size, it seems very palatable.”
