Aurelia’s Botanical Cream Deodorant is a wonderful cream-to-powder, Aluminium-free deodorant, Aurelia’s Botanical Cream Deodorant inhibits bacteria, delivers lasting freshness – and is lightly scented with Lavender and Bergamot. The cream-to-powder consistency allows for simple fingertip application. Superfine powdered plant based botanicals including antimicrobial Arrowroot and pure Kaolin sit invisibly on the skin ready to absorb your natural perspiration throughout the day; retaining dryness, inhibiting bacteria and resulting in long-lasting freshness. Shea butter gently hydrates, essential oils Tea tree, Eucalyptus and Peppermint, with their antiseptic and antibacterial properties, blend with distilled Lavender and Bergamot to lightly fragrance and deodorise. Why did Aurelia create an alluminium free deodorant?Aurelia Probiotic Skincare’s Botanical Cream Deodorant offers a highly effective gentle and natural alternative for all those concerned about the effects of aluminium and who may want to avoid this questionable ingredient. Aluminium-based antiperspirants work by using aluminium salts to block and alter sweat ducts. This interferes with our body’s natural response. It has been clinically proven that aluminium is absorbed through the skin but currently there is not sufficient evidence to establish a causal relationship between aluminium exposure and the augmented risk of developing breast cancer.Aurelia's Botanical Cream Deodorant Key Benefits:Those seeking a natural alternative to anti-perspirantsDaily, effective use on clean skinKeeping you dry, fresh and confident with every useSoftening skin with rich shea butterHelping to reduce ingrown hairs with antibacterial tea treeMade without a long list of questionable ingredients, including sulphates, parabens, mineral oils and MI to name only a few.Suitable for use during pregnancyBotanical Cream Deodorant Key Ingredients:Eucalyptus: Eucalyptus globulus) The cooling essential oil produced from the leaves and twigs has decongestant properties and smells wonderfully freshLavender: ( Lavandula angustifolia) This comforting, calming oil has been widely used since the late 16th century. The Leaping Bunny mark is placed on their labels and outer boxes, offering peace of mind. This stipulates that no animal testing is conducted or commissioned for finished cosmetic products or ingredients by the company, its laboratories or its suppliers after a fixed cut-off date.  This accreditation required total transparency by Aurelia Probiotic Skincare, enabling Cruelty-Free International to independently audit us throughout our supply chains, ensuring that they adhere to its animal testing policy and the Standard's strict criteria.  If you are shopping for beauty in the EU, you can be confident that your products have not been tested on animals as a total ban has been in place since 2013. The challenges arise when some brands knowingly retail their products in China where they are still tested on animals. You can ship across the border to China and be exempt to this rule but the minute they retail within the country (in a department store, pharmacy or independent shop) the government insist animal testing takes place unless the product is manufactured in China. Many brands turn a blind eye to this. Aurelia doesn’t!Is the Aurelia Botanical Cream Deodorant organic?Aurelia are 'BioOrganic', a term that encompasses the ethically sourced natural, organic and wild harvested plant and flower botanicals used where possible throughout the Aurelia Probiotic Skincare range. Claire, Aurelia’s founder, made the decision from the beginning to choose to support communities who supply us unique botanicals from around the world. Often these are wildly harvested but these communities can’t always afford to get their land certified or accredited by independent bodies due to the costs involved. Accreditation would restrict Aurelia’s sourcing abilities, the choice of ingredients they want to work with and who they buy them from. Additionally, Aurelia uses select, unique botanicals whose popularity are now growing as their benefits are being more widely discovered. These are often currently only available through our community sourcing network, and are not organically certified. To choose only organically certified ingredients would mean they would have to compromise on the variety of these rich, magical ingredients they use.  There are limitations in beauty. The term ‘organic’ refers to the growing method of the natural ingredients used, not the whole product. The term organic can only ever be applied to ingredients within products that are ‘grown’, so many natural products included such as clays, salts, minerals or even water that have many benefits can never claim to be organic. Is the Aurelia Botanical Cream Deodorant suitable for pregnancy? All products within the Aurelia brand are suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Very gentle on the skin, I definitely apply this if I shaved my armpits in the morning, it has a nice texture, I love the scent, and besides really enjoying putting it on it also works well throughout the day. I might reapply later in the day if I'm very active, or if I sweat a lot I might add a dry deodorant powder. What I really like is that it isn't like coconut oil, it's a very nice and not sticky cream that feels moisturising and at the same time controls armpit action.

Thank you so much for sharing this great feedback – VH
Initially thrilled with this as so gentle. However now the weather is warming up not sure it will be 100% effective. I use a stronger deodorant when exercising.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. -VH
As I've got older my tolerance to certain things has declined. One of them being deodorants. Most over-the-counter gentle variants make my skin itch. This one is very gentle and very effective, smells lovely and doesn't irritate. It has slight moisturising properties too. I'm not sure how effective it is as an anti-perspirant yet as the weather hasn't been warm enough. But I'm happy with the results so far.
