“Love this product. It made my skin feel more hydrated within a week. After the third week my skin felt plump and youthful. I also noticed a slight improvement on my keratosis pilaris, skin is more smoother. The taste is pleasant and is very easy to ingest but I prefer it chilled rather than room temperature. “I've been trialing these for a month and I've noticed a difference in my skin. I have dry and sensitive skin and after about 3 weeks of use, I've noticed my skin being softer, smoother and more hydrated. I'll definitely be needing these in the colder months. It's a great addition to my daily skincare routine in order to maintain my skin moisture levels. I've also noticed my skin feeling more plump. It is super easy to use. I keep them in the fridge and it also has a great flavour. Great packaging as I really like the 'clean' look. It is worth the splurge especially when your skin is feeling dehydrated.”

“These Hyaluronic Complex supplements are a clever and tasty way to add extra nutrition, hydration and antioxidants to your skincare routine. The box comes with 14 single use ampoules/vials and each one contains 25ml of the supplement. They contain a great mix of ingredients such as Acai, Hyaluronic Acid, Zinc and Vitamin C, and have a nice natural berry flavour. My skin is quite dry and dehydrated, so this product is a great way to address this concern. I have been taking these supplements for about a month, and I have noticed my skin feels smoother and looks more plump. I have also noticed my nails and hair are stronger and more shiny, which is a bonus! The Hyaluronic Complex ampoules began to work within a few weeks to improve the dryness and dehydration of my skin. I would repurchase this product in the future.”

“With some changing lifestyle conditions in the last 6 months, I noticed my skin had become drier, exaggerating fine lines on my face, so I was really excited to try this new product. I have tried a few powder supplements before, but nothing quite like this. I found the vials super easy to use and not inconvenient like some powder formulas, the taste is really nice and felt like a special treat, I liked keeping it in the fridge the best. Over the last month since using the Hyaluronic Complex, I feel like my skin texture is noticeably improved. My skin feels smoother and plumper - my fine lines appear reduced and the flaking skin around my cheeks and nose has gone. I am really impressed with this product. it's made me more confident in my skin without make up - my skin has a natural radiance to it. The only downside is the price (and hence the 4 stars) - I would love to take this all the time, but the price is quite high for a 2 week supply. I would definitely recommend using this product for a month or two in the lead up to a special event that you want your skin to look it's best.”

“Thank you to The Beauty Works and Vida Glow for the opportunity to trial and review Vida Glow Hyaluronic Complex Hydrating Ingestible Serum. Hyaluronic acid is one of my favourite skincare active ingredient. However, whether ingested hyaluronic acid will ultimately reach the skin remains questionable. Hyaluronic acid is predominantly polysaccharides which generally get broken down into monosacharides before absorption occurs. I came across 2 research papers done to study the effect of ingestible hyaluronan on skin. Although both shows some positive effects in reducing lines and wrinkles, both studies were funded by the respective hyaluronan manufacturer. One of the papers seem to suggest the theory of hyaluronan can be absorbed via paracellular transport, although it is not proven at a molecular level. Oral low molecular weight HA has been more widely studied in the context of relieving symptoms of knee osteoarthritis, but the results were controversial and vary between studies. Even if absorption of HA can occur by paracellular absorption (diffusion), there remains a question of whether any of the HA will ultimately reach the skin. Science aside, I do believe that the mind-body connection is a powerful one. When it comes to beauty products, it matters more how the person feels about themselves, and less so about what (if any) the actual changes are. When a person is in a healthy and balanced state-of-mind, amazing things may happen to the body as well. So do I feel better throughout the course of taking the hyaluronic complex? What I really enjoy is the feeling of I am looking after myself every morning while taking the hyaluronic complex. Each intake also makes me feel like a fresh start to the day. What I do not enjoy is that the taste is overly sweet, and there is a lot of plastic wastage throughout the course of the trial. Throughout the trial, I do not feel that my skin is particularly hydrated by the ingestible serum. My skin condition still rides with what I use on my skin. For example, when I used my spot treatment all over my face (which I clearly shouldn't have), my skin was dry and flaky. When I got a routine facial done, my skin was glowing unstoppably. Because of this, I think that ultimately, what I do to my skin topically plays a much bigger role than the Vida Glow hyaluronic complex. The cost of the hyaluronic complex is almost prohibitory - $110 for 14 vials. The recommended dosage is 1 vial per day (that means $110 every 2 weeks) but for the purpose of this particular trial we have been asked to take 2 vials per day (that is equivalent to $110 per week). For $110 per week (or even every 2 weeks) I genuinely think that to get a facial for that price (my regular facial costs around $120) at that frequency is a lot more beneficial than ingestible serum. That said, for those with unlimited budget there is no reason to not give this a go.”

“Have been taking 2 ampoules per day of this Hyaluronic tonic. For four weeks now. Each shot is to be used as one serve per day of the elixir. But for this trial I did double up. Content of one ampoule/per serve: Water, agave syrup, natural flavouring, açaí extract, Centella Asiatica, citric acid, sodium hyaluronate, potassium sorbate, coenzyme Q10, xantham gum, lycopene and 100% of nutrient reference value of Niacin, Biotin, VitC and Zinc. Not only Hyaluronic complex, what caught my attention were gotu kola (centella), which is known to be beneficial for brain function, memory, nervous tissue repair...and also is used for treating skin conditions. Biotin has been found to be beneficial for healthy skin and hair, lycopene great antioxidant and skin protectant. The formula is full of good ingredients. Best part: tastes great! Sweet and like a fruity cordial or thick juice. I love fruits, so this product was so enjoyable to take. It is vegan friendly. Have contacted the company and they have said that the product is suited for vegans and vegetarians. Made in Germany. Each cardboard box contains 14 ampoules. Shake before taking it. After using up all of them I have used the box with separators (where the vials were) to store my lipsticks. And one box to place makeup brushes into. Very good to keep and upcycle. Bottom part with separators did come so handy! And they look good (marble like, gold on white). Now. So hard to tell if I see skin difference. For this I would need some kind of machine to test the result. Visible? Can't tell at all. I did not have dry skin as I eat a lot of raw fruits daily and fruity veg. Perhaps more glowing? Did not have any breakouts while taking the formula. Of any negative changes either. One interesting thing to notice though. I do yoga. And mornings I am tighter (joints/muscles), takes time to soften the body and become "bendy". Noticed that that is so much different now. On a better way. More flexible straight away and that tension is not there. Did find clinical study after that Hyaluronic taken internally can have beneficial effect on joint stiffness too, not just for skin. So overall, looks promising. One big question is: are you willing to pay so much for them! They are expensive here in Australia. 110 AUD for 14 vial box (a fortnight of supply) or 99 AUD on prepaid subscription.”

“I really enjoyed drinking the Hyaluronic Complex, especially knowing I'm doing something good for my inner health. It takes a bit to get used to the taste but after a few bottles, i really start to enjoy it. The packaging is oh so luxe and beautiful i didn't want to throw it out. Overall, my skin improved in elasticity and much more plumper. The Hyaluronic Complex is very expensive and definitely a spurge, but worth it if you can afford it.”
