“I needed a large capacity, tough, and fast SSD drive, and LaCie fits the bill. I was using an ancient (in tech years) setup with disk hard drives but put off updating because of the cost of SSD and the lack of a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 connection on my old machine (as you may know, the LaCie will work with Thunderbolt 2, but because of the limitations of that connection you get half the throughput in 2 vs 3). When I finally got my new system I added the Lacie to my had to get list and have no regrets. While your mileage may vary, I’m getting numbers such as read at 2954 MG/s and writing at 1475 MB/s. Very happy with it’s performance.”
