“I purchased these cards for my son who is struggling with learning new words. He skips over complicated words whist reading, therefore doesn't develop his vocabulary. The market is saturated with support aids for children, so its often difficult to know what would be beneficial to help your child. However, I took the plunge and purchased these cards and I'm please I did. My son finds these cards very useful, they are conveniently held together with a binder so its portable. My son has started to use some of the words he's learnt to impress us and his teacher, it is really great to see his passion with words. Like with all things, interaction with the parent will always keep the child engaged, so as parents its important we encourage the use of the cards and maybe spend 5 mins a day (I do it before bedtime) and explore the different words and their meaning. Making time to do this with our bedtime routine has made me feel I am contributing to my sons development and it doesn't feel like its a chore for either of us. I believe that these cards have assisted him in being more interested/ curious in words (and their meaning), he now looks up words when reading. The cards are very sturdy and of good quality. I love the quirky examples that helps my son remember the words. Learning can be boring, these cards are a great way for the family to increase their vocabulary, not only for the 11+ but for everyday use.
