“Been using this product for about a month now. By the third try, I got the right color with the one called Bark (dark brown). Now it's working! It's pretty much everything one would want in this product made for men. Quick and easy to apply and it is durable. Like the manly black tubing and overall look. Applying ladies mascara just feels too gay. Some get turned off by reviews that say it's not everything the manufacturer says it is. Well, that's true to an insignificant point. For instance, if you want good color daily, it should be applied daily. Some of it lasts 48 hours, and if you're staying in the second day, then no need really to reapply. But daily works best for a consistent look. You know, the ladies have been fooling us for years with makeup. Ever see Taylor Swift or Angelina Jolie without makeup? A drastic difference! It's about time men got smart and upped their game too! (But dudes with lipstick? Not cool.) The 2-pack is a great idea, but I would take it a step further. Don't need the instructions at this point, or the pouch. For those who want more pouches after the first single purchase, make it available as an optional accessory for a price. This way the 2-pack can be sold at the cheapest possible price. The only drawback is the regular price for one. I have a lot of gray so I shaved my beard, it's just too white now. I apply the product to my moustache, sideburns and eyebrows. Because I'm so gray, I have to apply a decent amount. If you're in the same situation, here's a good tip: Give it a good amount of time to dry right in, then just rinse your face off in the shower. It then looks clean and natural without losing full coverage. Lastly, after I did this method today, I went to the gym for a workout. I sweat a lot. It didn't fade or run. At all.”

This is a killer review! Thanks for all the tips. As far as the packaging for the 2-pack goes we have to include the instructions as there are customers that have not ordered from us before and thus without the instructions they wouldn't know how to use the product. However, we have discounted the product deeply and not accounted for the pouch and instructions (these are pretty much gratis). If you are looking to save even more you can sign up for our AUTO-REORDER and get the 2-pack even for less. It's good to hear that you are satisfied with Volt Instant Beard Color. The smell you are describing is due to alcohol which allows the product to dry quickly. But do not worry this is a pharmaceutical grade alcohol also used in perfumes and colognes and as soon as the alcohol evaporates (which takes seconds) you are left with natural looking color, light marine scent, argan oil, castor oil, shellac and Vitamine A.
