POWERED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Power supply is separated for each section, with one dedicated to the internal clock that has its own stabilizer.
Before powering the circuits, a filtering section has been provided, based on a chain of inductors and electrolytic capacitors with ad-hoc developed cells. All integral parts of RIVO have, as a result, high performance and stability on their own, which together creates a completely noise-reducing and reliable device.
EASY SETUP Getting started just takes a couple of minutes with the Volumio official iOS and Android apps
MADE IN ITALY All Volumio products are proudly designed and assembled in Florence Italy
ROON READY All Volumio products are Roon Ready certified by Roon Labs. allowing seamless integration with Roon
ENGINEERING MADE SIMPLE
Simplicity on the architecture of RIVO, by building a digital signal path as clean as possible. Filtering and isolation have been meticulously designed by employing multiple 1:1 OFC copper grain-oriented transformers, which guarantee the galvanic isolation of the digital outputs (SPDIF and AES/EBU).
This means the digital signal path will arrive in your DAC without any filtering, any changes. You are certain your music will be the clearest and most natural.
MULTIPLE CONNECTIVITY OPTIONS TO EXPLORE
S/PDIF and AES-EBU outputs with Galvanic isolation and power filtering + USB Digital outputs with power filtering and a dedicated clock.

Finally found a dedicated streamer without a built-in DAC and wifi connection - works perfectly with my Michi X3 integrated amplifier. Physically, gorgeous looking compared to the usual black or silver colored streamers. Initially, thought the blue and orange face would be too much of a contrast to my all black system but it actually adds some nice contrast. The one comment I would have would be to have the on/off light be dimmed more - a little annoying at night. Liked that the wifi antennas are now internal. Functionally, it has worked flawlessly with no drop-outs using my wifi connection via USB to my amplifier. The only issue I had was during the initial setup, it could not connect to my wifi network and took a couple of attempts to get it connected. Musically, listening through TIDAL it sounds wonderful with greater detail and clarity compared to my MacBook Pro. Price wise I feel it is a good value compared to similar products and shipping from Italy to the USA was very quick and tracking and delivery through DHL was excellent. Highly recommended.

This streamer comes with great software. Volumio has improved so much in the past 2 years. Tidal Connect works well. Pleased with the sound streaming to my external Dac. This streamer runs with the big dogs.

I began my streaming with a Rasberry Pi that had an onboard LPS. Because the micro sd card became corrupted constantly, I decided to purchase a Primo to use only the streaming functions. It was considerably better than the Rasberry Pi. I then invested in a Farad Super3 LPS that increased the performance again. The Rivo uses the same 5V 3A power so upgrading to it was a natural progression to use the same Farad LPS. Straight out of the box, the performance was significantly better including more detail, separation of instruments in the soundstage, and a more refined musical flow. Any high-frequency distortion disappeared. Any genre of music sounded better and engaged me more intensely. After 100 hours of play, I have found that the burn-in process is complete. I live in Canada so the exchange of my dollars for Euros made this more expensive but I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

I have had my Volumio Rivo for nearly 1 month now so I am in a good position to review it. I bought Rivo after looking at many other options as it appeared to tick many of the boxes that I required to achieve excellent streaming sound quality. The unit was ordered via the Volumio site online and sent from Italy to the UK and it arrived within a week or so, it was shipped and packaged well and with no issues. Out of the box the instructions were clear and it was easy to set up and get working fairly quickly. I set up the Volumio Rivo with the software downloaded and the user interface appeared good. I installed a hardware software update during the set up process. Sound Quality : I have the Rivo in quite a demanding high end set up. Naim NAC 252, NAP 300, and with Rivo digital output in to a Chord DAC. On initial listening I was impressed, SQ was a lot better than streaming from my Yamaha WX-C50 streamer which I was upgrading from, so I fully expected this. I tried and tested tracks from Apple Music and Tidal and my home Network NAS and also tried the CD USB drive port, all these sources worked well and I was very happy with the sound quality. A few days later my linear 5v power supply arrived and this again was a big upgrade, by dramatically lifting he noise floor. I was now in the audio zone that I wanted to be in terms of the streaming sound quality. So well done Volumio for sound quality. As the initial days and weeks went on and after the honeymoon period , I started to understand the system interface more and to reveal a few 'non-sound' related issues. 1) The app keeps informing me there is a software update, I have tried installing this and it loads and reboots Rivo, but then it always has the same version after the software update and I continue to get the same messages. I informed the help desk and was told that another update was available, but I still cannot get the unit to update. Always has the same annoying App message. 2) The Volumio Ipad software to control the unit, although it is well designed display and access features, it is terribly slow and unresponsive. Speedwise you feel you are on an old Windows 7 computer, not good! and lets the experience down badly. With Tidal I had to switch directly to Tidal app as the Volumio app was just too slow betwen searching and changing tracks, and also If I wanted to change my sources, I often had to reboot the app. It is just too slow and unresponsive. I am very surprised at this and I believe it is the app not my hardware. I will delete this if it is fixed. I fed this issue by email back to the Tech support at Volumio but had no response. So again disappointing here. In summary - I love my Volumio Rivo, the sound is great. Just please change the colour options available as blue and orange doesn't always suit. Mainly please fix the terribly slow Ipad software app, it could be a much fuller experience if the integration of the app worked a lot better. Thanks

The final price includes everything!!! This is very convenient. No additional fees (customs, taxes etc). Regarding the RIVO itself very easy to install. The only suggestion for the team would be to put more details on how to update the plugins (Roon).

Purchased the Rivo directly from Volumio. Had issues with the unit as shipped which only worked for 2 days. Volumio customer service were excellent and immediately shipped a replacement unit. Initial set up was really easy & quickly connected to Qobuz and hard drive. Using with Mytek Brooklyn Dac. Version 3 of the Volumio software is really easy to use. Sound very clean and transparent and feels like a minor upgrade in terms of sound from the Innuos Zen Mini. Early days but happy so far with purchase.

After reading several positive reviews about Rivo, I decided to give it a try and replace my Raspberry 4/DigiOne Hat setup. A few days after placing the order, UPS delivered the Rivo to my door. Setting up and initialization worked without any problem. After ten minutes everything was ready, including OS update, the music from my SSD indexed, and Qobuz connected (I have to say, though, that I run a straightforward, single-room setup). My DAC is an Obelisk from Heed, a high-end device. It was recognized right away. Right from the start, a small, but noticeable improvement in sound could be observed. This was confirmed by A/B testing with my previous setup (easily possible, because my DAC has 5 inputs). Initially, I liked the sound via coax S/PDIF better, one week later or so, the USB seemed to gain. The differences are small in any case, both sound great. Btw, one can switch from one output to the other within ten seconds from the Rivo's system menu. Coming from Volumio on a Raspberry, the UI posed no issues. As a UI I use either my laptop or my smartphone, both work equally well. Next I will try out a good linear power supply (I have a spare Tomanek, a compatible cable with the Rivo is on its way). What could be improved? As others noted, the color design is recognizable and modern, but it doesn't match most other audio components, which tend to be black. Why not put a few alternative front covers in the package? I also would have liked an optical output. But these are really minor issues, on the whole I am very happy with the Rivo!

Rivo Usb to Mark Levenson 5206 preamp, 5302 two channel amp and a pair of Revel F328Be speakers. To me the sound is as good as the recording provided to it. I was not disappointed. I would like improvement in detailed explanation of the Volumio software functions. One example is the saving Favorites function. When does it work and when is it supposed to work. I have no idea. Same goes to the Playlist, etc... By the way I use Qobuz for my music source.
