“The unit was easy to install into the heating and cooling system, however, hooking up the electrical was a bit confusing, even for a professional HVAC technician. There were not enough details enclosed in the booklet to connect the transformer to the system to accommodate the 24v transformer to a 220v supply line. Although, the cover on the transformer showed the varies power leads, it was very confusing as how to connect the transformer. The Halo I received came with a relay switch and all information I found on the internet showed a air pressure switch connected to the 24v transformer. When I searched for additional information on how to connect the relay to the transformer, the only thing that came up was using the black wire from the transformer, which did not make sense to me and the HVAC tech. He followed the installation as shown and ended up blowing the transformer and had to get a replacement from the local supplier. It was while he was away that I found the additional pages on various connections of the 24V transformer to an HVAC system. These various installation diagrams should have been included in the booklet or as an addition to the items included in the original Halo-LED box. Even for an experienced HVAC tech it was confusing due to lack of instructions on the proper way to install the unit with different power supply. The technician finally installed the Halo after much delay and confusion and it is working great now. I would recommend having a whole house system installed in anyone's home.”
