“I've been using this bar for a couple of months and now I have enough reps in to give a honest review. To start off I will say that the aesthetics on this bar is beautiful. I have this bar for my home gym and it doesn't require much Maintenance. It's a great stiff bar. Honestly probably the stiffest that I have played with. So stiff that honestly when pulling on this for so long, when I finally do go to the gym with my buddies, this bar makes the Ohio power bar feels like it has a a ton of slack in it. So what I'm trying to say is deadlifting on this bar will get you ready to pull on ANY KIND OF BAR!!!!!!!!!. THE ONLY THING THAT I WOULD EVEN SAY (WHICH IS TECHNICALLY NOT A BAD THING) IS THAT THE CENTER KNURLING ISN'T AS AGRESSIVE AS I WOULD LIKE. I WOULD BE PRETTY ALRIGHT WITH THE IDEA OF IT BEING AS AGRESSIVE AS THE REST OF THE KNURLING ON THE BAR. BUT others may not enjoy that like I do. So it really just depends on the person. As well what I noticed to compensate for the center knurling is a light layer of chalk on it. Hope this helps someone.”

Thanks for your review! The Absolute Powerlifting Bar is made with a medium center knurl to facilitate those who use a Power Bar to perform Power Cleans as well as High Bar Squats. We think the knurl is sufficient enough to "grip" a tshirt but not so aggressive that it takes the skin off of the neck as the our other two power bars will if used for cleans or high bar squats. The Absolute Stainless Power bar and Elite Power Bar, Both have the aggressive center knurl.

“I'm not one who typically submits a review.... However, this bar is that good. I've a lot of power lifting barbells out there and this one is top notch. Knurling is perfect and better than most. Center knurling is a perfect blend. This bar is as steady as rock and as stiff as they come. If you are on the fence, don't be. You will not regret adding this bar to your gym.”

“Absolutely — Period Amazing — Period Bar — Period The knurling on this bar is, IMO, sharp enough to perfectly stick to your hands without destroying them. It allows you to grab the bar the exact same way EVERY time without having to adjust your grip, giving you one less variable to worry about during your setup. It’s also a beautiful bar. Great asthetic choices. The more I use it, the more I love it. I see garage gyms on IG that have a million bars in their collection. Me: Absolute Powerlifting Bar for the big 3 and a beater bar for all other movements. When you invest in elite quality the first time around, you’ll avoid succumbing to barbellitis.”

“This was an upgrade from a cheaper power bar that is slightly bent. This bar is being used for squats and pressing only. Knurling is perfect. I consider it moderately aggressive with a much smoother (unexpected) center knurling. The center knurling is more then good enough to hold the bar in place for back squats, and you're really happy it's not aggressive for if you do overhead/behind the neck pressing, or front squats. I find this feature an added bonus. The overall tightness and endplay of the sleeves makes the lifts feel safer and tighter then with a cheaper bar that has excess slop in the sleeves. The lack of whip with the tensile strength and 29mm diameter makes heavy lifts go off smoothly. Cosmetically, the bar is as good looking as it gets. It's unique and done well. Having the Vulcan name and serial number etched in the inner collars is a nice touch. I have a very minor rub mark near the center knurling from the machining process, but it's almost invisible without the use of a magnifying glass...I highly recommend this bar to anyone looking to upgrade; it should be the last power bar you will ever own. For the price, I don't think there's any other that can beat it.”

“I have both versions of the Absolute. The V2.0 improves on an already great bar. The new chrome matte sleeves are beautiful and the more aggressive knurling is very refined and offers more grip than the V1.0, but is not overdone. It is my new favored bar to train with.”
