Overall I'm very happy my new Vulcan elite bar. The spin on this bar is great and the overall build quality on this thing is incredible. The knurling is exactly what i was looking for and is not too aggressive. I have never had a bar with ribbed collars but so far that is pretty nice too. The plates seem to slide off the bar easily when you change them, but when in use with the spring collars they don't budge. So far I'm very impressed with Vulcan and i have another order coming my way already.

I purchased the Vulcan 20 KG V4.0 Elite 28 MM Olympic Barbell during Black Friday after much research and reading many reviews. The review that really sold me on this bar was from garage-gyms.com. Vulcan's Black Friday sale also saved me an extra $37 on top of free shipping and lifetime warranty. I knew I couldn't pass the bar up based on all of that, and once it came in I knew I made the right choice. The packaging was perfect, the cardboard tube was thick and undamaged. Once I opened it up the bar was bubble wrapped which was great to see as an extra precaution to protecting the bar during shipment. Upon unwrapping the bar I did not notice any imperfections and only noticed what a beautiful piece of equipment it was. It's extremely well made, very solid, and looks like it would last a lifetime. The knurling although not too aggressive, provided very good grip. I tested it out with a few reps and it felt great. It's probably more ideal for higher reps but I'm certain it can handle low rep work as well. I'm also by no means an elite lifter of any kind and I've never used higher end bars such as Eleiko but I can't imagine this being too different in terms of quality, craftsmanship, and durability. And just as important, it's probably three times cheaper than bars that are considered elite level. My only knock is that it took nearly a month for me to receive the bar once my order was placed. But, to Vulcan's credit, once my order was placed their email did state it may take a few weeks due to Black Friday and increased sales during this time of year. And as I waited week after week to receive a shipping notification and once it finally did come, the bar was delivered within the next day or two. So the shipping notice did not come timely. This was also my first order with Vulcan and I can definitely say it won't be the last.

Never had a real oly bar before. I have only used it a few times but the previous reviews are accurate. first time you use it the spin isnt quite there, but second time around experienced a noticeable difference being able to get under the bar. Knurling is perfect in my opinion and I can get a great grip on the bar for cleans. love it so far

This barbell is amazing compared to the cheap bars found at the recreational gyms i’ve been to. I am fairly new to olympic lifts and having a quality bar to frequently drill movements is integral in achieving the degree technicality I want. Apparently the bar is extremely resistant to corrosion which was a selling point for me as I am in the early stages of home training.

Bar came just 3 days after I ordered it. A little greasy when it arrived but I'm sure that's just to keep it from corroding in stock before purchased/delivered. Great whip out of the box and the spin was a little less than desirable at first but by the fourth or fifth set you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this bar and a needle bearing bar. Very satisfied with my overall experience considering this was my first purchase from Vulcan. I plan to return and buy a 500 pound set of alpha bumpers once I can sneak them past the wife.

Well... after some years in weightlifting and traveling around the world, I have had the chance to use several brands, all kinds... very cheap, and also very expensive ones. You can clearly feel the difference between all once you try so many. Some are very closed to others, specially on the high price ones.... well, this is my 3rd personal barbell..and let me tell you, IT ROCKS! throw it on the platform against any brand, it will stand out. Yeah, for about double the price you might get other ones with a few extra perks.. but the sole purpose of weightlifting is amazing! Knurling --> not soft.. more like a mid aggressive, but it will not tear up your hands on higher reps. but this also depends if you take care of your hands or not. CENTER KNURL - fantastic support, you know is there. If you are like me, you will shave your throat lololol, but dont worry, it will not scrape everything. Spin ---> fantastic!! Out of the box not so much, but after a few sessions you can see it spin for a long time. Great for transitions. whip --> nothing to complain. It will whip when you need it. It feel very controlled; once you passed the 140kg you will feel it more, but nothing too crazy.. just the right amount. Which makes it perfect for deadlifts also and bench. But the real advantage comes for the olympic movements. quality --> clean design.. you can tell it was made to higher standards than its price tag.

Bought the Vulcan elite v3 and couldn't be happier. My box uses the rogue 2.0 bars and I wanted a bar to work on oly lifts in my home gym. After months of research looking at rogue, fringe and several other sites I ended up on Vulcan based off of reviews from garage-gyms.com. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The knurl is more aggressive than the rogue 2.0 and the whip is out of this world. I already pr'd my clean and my snatch as well. The whip on the bar gives you a little bit more to get underneath it. The bushing system is very tight and one of the first things I noticed was how much quieter the bar is compared to the rogue 2.0 i am used to using. The chromoly is beautiful and the matte finish gives the bar a unique look that I love. Would highly recommend this bar to anyone looking to spend under 400 for a bar. You re not going to find a 28mm bar, with more whip, oxidation resistance, perfect knurling, or lifetime warranty at this price anywhere else.
