“Let's just start with the fact that it took THREE days from ordering to arrive at my door. I ordered on Sunday, received Wednesday. Compared to an Ohio Power Bar, it is a more sharp. Compared to the Ohio Deadlift Bar (which is known to have the same knurling, but more deeply cut than an OPB), it is almost exactly the same, if not just a bit sharper. Basement Brandon said it best, this may just be the most perfect powerlifting knurl for someone looking for a great grip in a 29mm bar. That said, I consider the knurl to be too much for bench press (although I have an American Barbell Elite for that - which is waaay more mild in knurl). This bar is certainly one of the most aggressive bars out there, but unlike some of the other reviews floating around the internet, this is NOT overbearing, at all. Overall build was good, similar to an OPB. side-to-side sleeve slop has a noticeable clang to it. The oilite bearings are very good with spin after they loosened up. Knurl tracks are only OK, as they are not the best/cleanest at the stopping points, but very acceptable and consistent. The sleeves are slightly grooved and honestly, feel like any other chrome/zinc sleeve I've ever seen. The black zinc is very similar to my Ohio Deadlift Bar and I foresee it having minimal maintenance to prevent rust (I live in NJ, manageable humidity). I would rate this as one of the best powerlifting barbells out there if you are looking for stiff, affordable, aggressive, US made and from a great company. I say that with having used Eleiko, American Barbell, LuXiaoJung, Rogue, Elite FTS, Texas PB, etc. For the $350 shipped I paid, this is a steal for what you get. Extremely underrated company.”

“I purchased the 29mm Vulcan Elite Power-lifting Bar, this bar is Quality made right down to the detail's. The Knurling is Very Aggressive something wanted in a Power-lifting Bar. I swear my bench has gone up because I have total control of the bar while pressing and now I'm pressing evenly with out palm pain because the bar is thicker and feels secure in my hands. Great Bar Vulcan and I'm totally satisfied and I be back for more bars and plates.”

“I agree with the other reviewers on this, excellent bar! I’ve been lifting for 20 years or so and finally upgraded from my bar from high school! Took a shot on Vulcan since I didn’t want to conform with a standard Rogue product. So far this bar seems to be of high quality and a good deal for $309 with free shipping. I would recommend this company from what I’ve seen thus far.”
