“I had been looking at various different wall panels for our bedroom makeover and there were so many to choose from ranging in a lot of prices and quality.
I had previously cut strips of wood and stained myself to create my own slat wall but it took a lot of work and time and I needed to do a larger area with a more uniform look which is the reason I wanted to get pre-made ones.
I came across the Trepanel range from Walls and Floors as they had the best price hands down for 2.4m high and 60cm wide acoustic slat panels. The quality looked decent on the website and after getting a sample pack I went for them and glad I did, they're fantastic!
They look great, (went for the Noir Black standard sized slats) and go perfect to our dark black/midnight blue flooded bedroom and give a great feature. In total I used 5 panels and cut them with a jigsaw to size which was really easy and straightforward.
I didn't use glue but used black plasterboard screws on each panel and they work a treat, no prep or anything, just screwed between various slats into the felt and into the wall, easy peasy!
I would definitely recommend Walls and Floors Trepanel range and would buy from them again!
For anyone interested in the pictures with the led lights, I made these myself with aluminium led channels cut to size and a black diffuser to hide the LED's when they're off against the noir colour of the slats. I think they look great as a feature with the panels and not too hard to do!”
