“Please contact me in a years time for a review when I will be able to tell you whether the watch has lived up to its reputation as being one of the best field watches. However, I can tell you that i am disappointed that the watch only came with a leather band. All the various companies that I looked at that sell this watch replicate the information on the Bertucci website which mentions a leather and a nylon band. No indication of choice is given. For a field watch a nylon strap makes a lot of sense as one would not want to continuously expose a leather strap to water. If I had been made aware of the fact that the nylon strap did not accompany the watch I would have ordered one. To order one separately when one lives in South Africa is not very practical. In addition, the leather strap provided is on the short side and I have to wear it on the last hole (I am not a giant). Because the band passes under the watch it effectively loses some 8mm of its length. Bertucci do have leather bands of different lengths. In adddition, I am not sure why Bertucci make a point of referring to the "Swiss luminous" hands, it is even stamped on the back of the watch. Yes the watch is luminous, but it is very average. The watch does look very good and I am sure that it will perform well; please contact me to find out.”
