“I was shopping for ballast trafalgar for a while many sites have many variations but not the one I was looking for watches.com had the right model I was looking for at very good price and most important there was a problem with the post office shipping the item to wrong address all I had to do was send an email and the situation was taken care of they resent the item. “okay. my first note is that I have bought watches from 'watchismo' or what is now watches.com now. These watches have had no issue. Watches is a great site and there are many wonderful pieces to choose from. After browsing one day I saw and LOVED the look of the Ballast Trafalgar watch, and this is the reason I wanted to purchase it. I had checked out some reviews and nothing alarming was brought to my attention. So, after getting a $50 discount from the purchase process, I anxiously awaited the watch. It's delivery was quick enough and upon opening package, the presentation was very impressive, with a large box and the watch impressively sitting inside. Problems happened quickly as I followed directions to wind watch, but nothing was happening. I could hear some noise inside as I tilted watch back and forth. it's an automatic so you would think it was part of the mechanics inside - but I have many automatic timepieces and I knew this was not the problem. Also, the setting pin was not functioning and there was no way to set the time or date. obviously there was an issue, so I contacted watches.com and immediately set up a return for a new watch. Watches.com was very responsive, quickly sent me a return packing slip, and I sent the watch back. Maybe 2-3 weeks later, I received a new watch. hesitant but hopeful I opened the box yet again to see a beautiful watch waiting for me. This time the watch seemed to work, and I was able to set the date and time. I was very happy with the watch. I keep my automatics on winders but they never seem to keep the time very well so one time when I went to put on I set the time and day and wound according to instructions, but the second hand stopped after a minute or so. for the next hour, I tried to both wind the watch, and move the watch to get the mechanisms spring to store some energy. Nothing worked, and the watch will keep time from a few seconds to a few minutes. Can't tell what is causing this. I can see the spring mechanism ticking back and forth but then I'll go to wear watch, and all of a sudden the movement stops. Now, of course, I am past the 30 day period, and have to deal with Ballast directly, and. probably have to pay to fix a broken watch. This is actually very upsetting, and if I actually do have to pay to fix a watch that was delivered not working TWICE, I will be leaving additional reviews on various sites, which I don't really do. I am upset because it seems to be such a quality watch, and is presented as such... but for some reason the internals on this is junk,... or I am dealing with someone else return, or refurbished product. Hoping for a favorable outcome here, as I'd love to wear this watch on the regular.”

“So this may be my second review of this watch, I'm just sure if my first one got submitted. So I'll try to cover a few different areas than my first one, which talked mostly about the unique way to set time, change the date, and wind €� the watch all being done with the bezel. It's pretty cute with a crown protector a la Panerai and other similar models. So what I will say about this beauty is the leather band is a beautiful two-tone leather with off white stitching. Really one of a kind band design. I'd never seen anything like it, but it only adds to the striking qualities of this watch. I could see how one could wear this watch as an everyday timepiece, and I'm testing that out right now, but I do think that this one is going to sit safe and sound in one of my large watch books.”

“This is an excellent everyday watch. It sits very well on a small wrist(7 1/4). Excellent quality, especially the band. Highly recommend it. No shipping issues to Canada.”
