Beautiful watch! Unfortunately the automatic rotor on the watch was grinding as it spun and the watch had to be returned. Given it was very obvious immediately upon unpackaging the watch, I'm really surprised it made it past quality control. The return process was easy enough, but they were sold out of the watch so I'm still unable to write a review based on a fully working watch. That said, the watch is as much a piece of art as it is a time piece. The use of multiple layers on the face and complementary metallic tones ensure that its interesting to view from any angle. The watch does a good job of capturing the submarine theme without overdoing it. One of the more interesting features, ironically, is that the automatic rotor that is visible through the see through back is shaped like a submarine propeller, something not showing in any of the pictures on watches.com. I really want to recommend this watch, but I have serious reservations about the quality control at Ballast. At this price point, this issue is something that should have be caught at the factory.
