“My second GA100 (previous one was the 1A4, red and black). Comfortable on the wrist, with a unique color. Three stars because of two reasons, both related to lighting: lack of legibility in any lighting other than bright, and the terrible front-lit display lighting. 1. If you're indoors, you'd better have excellent eyesight if you intend on seeing the LCD display - it's reversed from traditional LCDs, so the characters and numerals are quite difficult to see. Easy to discern details in bright daylight though. 2. Without a backlight, the information on the LCD cannot be read at night. The light provided is front-lit, at the bottom of the dial, so you are only able to make out the position of the analog hands. There is no lume on this dial face. The main benefit of this one over the GA100-1A4 is that both the hour and minute hands are visible under front-lighting because they're painted white; it isn't possible to see the hour hand on the 1A4 using the amber LED because the hand is red - it just disappears.”
