The watch is absolutely beautiful - I can't stop looking at it throughout the day! The watch strap is very nice, but I find it a bit too large for my wrist (6.5")... I have it on the tightest loop. The watch is quite top heavy, but I expected it would be with the large sapphire glass. This is my first higher quality, automatic watch and I'm very impressed. Build quality is excellent - I can't see any imperfections. Everything is very solid and gives off a premium feel. The lume is quite weak - the photographs included are next to impossible to replicate. The circular halos, arms, and second hand do illuminate in bright light, but fade in a very short time. I was completely unable to get the numerals to illuminate without direct exposure to a UV lamp, but they fade in 10 seconds or so. This is not a deal breaker for me, but it's not as brilliant as I would have hoped. One incredibly odd and unexpected feature of my particular watch is the date - day of the week is in Spanish. I do not speak Spanish, but I was not recognizing "lun" , "jue", or "dom". This is not what is advertised on watches.com, not Xeric's website. Like the lume, not a deal breaker - but definitely not preferential. Overall - the watch is fantastic. There are a few things I would have hoped for, but will very likely buy another Xeric from watches.com.
