“I was very hopeful, given that our usual tree is £40 from Homebase. It lasted a good few years and looked the part. At £110 I was hoping for high quality. I was disappointed. Out the box some of the cotton branch wrap has already come loose. The construction with riveted hinges is no better than a £40 tree, they are very loose, with a fair amount of lateral movement. There are a mix of brush types again no better than cheaper trees although they vary in thickness and finish to make it look more realistic , each branch has some more realistic plastic needles although not as many as expected by the pictures. The lights are easy to connect up although they seem tightly wrapped around the branches. I'm sure when properly unravelled and set it will look vaguely similar to the pictures, however it's not as good as expected for the price. I hope it lasts at least 10 years like the old Homebase one.”
