The Polare 3 Bib Tights are Castelli's warmest tights with protection from the wind and the rain. These are ideal for riders who don't let a little cold get in their way, or for riders who appreciate dressing warm in cool conditions. The tights achieve their warmth and protection through a combination of fabrics. The front of the tights completely blocks out the wind and the cold thanks to GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER X-fast fabric. Castelli's Nano Flex 3G fabric on the seat and lower back provide protection from any road spray and its Thermoflex fabric on the back of the thighs brings ample warmth and stretch. You might associate mesh bib straps with summer bib shorts, but Castelli has used them here as they hold minimal moisture. This will help your jacket and base layer work their best and ultimately keep you dry and more comfortable for longer. These winter cycling tights use Castelli's KISS Air2 seat pad. This pad offers just the right amount of padding whilst maintaining great moisture management properties. Favoured by many of the pros, it is slightly less voluminous than the Progetto X2 The tights close at the ankles with zips and have reflective detailing across the calves and thighs for extra visibility in low light. Key Features Full GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER X-fast front for total wind protection Nano Flex 3G fabric on seat and lower back leg for splash protection Thermoflex on back of thighs for extra warmth and stretch Mesh bibs that hold minimal moisture KISS Air2 seat pad High visibility reflective strips above knee and on calf Ankle zips for easy on and off Weight: 332g (M)

Only just got around to using them and I find them a bit loose or slightly baggy in some areas where as they should be skin tight even to the point that the padding moves around during cycling causing slight discomfort, When it comes to a couple of these cycling websites the size guides puts me in between large and x large the websites suggest I go a size up luckily I didn’t all my previous Castelli cycle shorts I brought were large and fit perfectly these a bit big even though it is suggested I go a size up it’s left me a bit confused as I don’t want to go medium as there usually too small so is the size guide wrong or is it just these specific tights that are bigger than the usual I don’t know but as for now they will do for shorter cold and wet rides.
