An all-in-one package with everything you need to get started – there’s nothing to not like about our Mirrorstone 2m Single Colour LED Strip Light Kit. It comes with 2m of our 7.2W single colour LED tape, and a 240V power adapter that plugs straight into your mains. Using just 7.2W/m of energy, it shines with a dimmable brightness of 510 lumens, giving you plenty of bang for your bucks – an equivalent incandescent would suck up 60W to provide the same level of light! With 50,000 hours of life under the hood too, it’ll last you more than 15 years before it needs replacing. It’s ideal for concealed lighting effects, such as front cabinet lighting, under table lighting or sink lighting in the kitchen, living room or bedroom. You do have some freedom too, as the tape itself can be cut at 10cm intervals – allowing you to use less than the supplied 2m. Please do bear in mind however, that if you do cut your tape in anyway, we will not be able to accept any returns on this strip light kit under any circumstances. Please take the utmost care if you do need to cut your strip light. Use Them Anywhere! Part of the appeal of this 2m strip light kit is just how versatile it is. The wide 120o beam angle allows you to use it for general illumination – or for mood lighting if you dim it down. You’ll have a couple of options too. The first is what colour you would like your strip lights to emit. You can pick from warm white (3000K) or cool white (6000K). These are known as colour temperatures, and are simply the perceived warmth of light measured in Kelvins. Warm white is great for areas that need to feel comfortable like the living room or bedroom, thanks to its high similarity to the shade given off by traditional halogen bulbs. Cool white however is brighter and creates a slightly more clinical feel. This is far better for areas where you might need to concentrate such as the kitchen or office. The other option you’ll have is whether you would like IP65 rating on your LED tape. IP ratings are very simple to understand – the 2 numbered digits following the letters IP tell you how well the device protects against foreign bodies and moisture respectively. So in this case, the 6 means it is completely dust proof, and the 5 means that it can withstand light jets of water from any direction. This means that you can use the strip light outdoors in the garden, as it can guard against even the heaviest rain. Enhance Your Kit! The extrusion is slim enough so that it won’t take any of the attention away from your strip lights, but does provide a great looking yet subtle finishing touch. It has a practical benefit too.
