The perfect replacement for your fluorescent panel light is here – with our 18W Round Surface Mount LED Panel Light slotting in straight where it once went. It’s great for when recessing in your ceiling isn’t an option, as it can be mounted directly onto any surface including concrete or plasterboard. It comes with all the fittings and brackets you need to mount it, and even comes with a transformer too – so all you need to do is supply the mains. The driver can be placed behind the panel thanks to a depth of just 40mm. The quality of light isn’t too shabby either. This Mirrorstone round panel light shines with a maximum brightness of 1500lumens – bordering on floodlight levels of performance. Optimal light is produced thanks to a colour rendering index (CRI) of 80 – so objects in your choice of room appear exactly as they should as if they were under natural sunlight. It does this using just 18W of power – an equivalent halogen light would suck up over 5 and a half times the power with a consumption of 100W. Throw in a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, and all this quality surface mount panel light is yours for up to 20 years before you have to think about replacing it, giving it tremendous long term appeal. Introducing Omnetic The Omnetic generation has had some serious upgrades to their design. With greater energy-efficiency than ever before, these panel lights generate far more light for their energy usage. With a more efficient creative internal design, these panel lights leave much more room for airflow, ensuring better heat dissipation. The Details That Matter A beam angle of 120o gives you a wide spread of light, making it great for general all round illumination. This is further compounded by the IP44 rating. The 2 numbered digits correspond to the level of protection against foreign bodies and moisture respectively. In this case, 44 means it is protected against objects larger than 1mm, and is splash proof from water coming at it in any direction. This opens up the possibility to use this panel light in areas such as the kitchen, or commercial cooking areas like in restaurants, as it will be more than able to withstand any condensation or steam that comes as a result of cooking. There are a few options you’ll have too that allow you to customise your panel light to your needs. The first is a choice of colour temperatures – with warm white (3000K) and cool white (6000K) to pick from. Warm white is better for places that need to feel comfortable like the living room or bedroom, whereas cool white is better suited for areas where concentration is required like the office or kitchen. You can also pick something relatively different too – triple white cycle. This simply alternates between warm white, cool white and daylight every time the light is turned off and then on again, giving you the best of all worlds. The other main choice you’ll have to customise your light is whether you want dimmable light or not. Please be aware that to use dimmable light, you will need a trailing edge dimmer. Using a more commonly found leading edge dimmer will shorten the lifespan of your panel light and could even damage the LEDs inside.
