When recessing isn’t an option, and you don’t have a dropped ceiling, then our 6W Round Surface Mounted LED Panel Light is a great product for you. It comes with all fittings and brackets required to mount it directly onto any flat surface, like concrete or plasterboard. It even comes with a transformer too, so all you have to do is plug it into your 240V mains. With a depth of 40mm, you can hide away the transformer so that it’s out of sight, giving you a neat setup. Once fitted, it uses just 6W of power to provide 450lumens of light – an equivalent non-LED would use 10 times the power to match our Mirrorstone panel light’s performance! It will illuminate your area of choice for up to 50,000 hours too – that’s over 15 years of life! In that time you would get through twice as many fluorescents and 20 sets of incandescent bulbs! It’s good quality light too thanks to the colour rendering index (CRI) of up to 80, and a beam angle of 120o, making it great for all purpose illumination. The IP44 rating means it’s perfectly safe to use in areas where you might have water too, like restaurant kitchens for example, as it is splash proof from any direction. You’ll have a couple of options open to you as well that allow you to customise your round panel light. The first is what colour choice you prefer. You’ll have 3 options – 2 of them are warm white (3000K) and cool white (6000K). Warm white appears very close to conventional halogens, whereas cool white is a lot brighter and harsher. The third option is called triple white cycle. Picking this option switches between 3 different colour temperatures – warm white, cool white and day light (4000K) – every time you switch it back on, giving you the best of all worlds. The other customisable choice you’ll have is whether you want dimmable LEDs or not. Please note that you will need a trailing edge dimmer to use the dimmable functions, as leading edge dimmers may not work and could even damage the bulbs. Introducing Omnetic The Omnetic generation has had some serious upgrades to their design. The Right Panel Light If your chosen area of use is particularly large, then 450 lumens might not be adequate for you. This is equivalent to an 80W incandescent, highlighting one of the advantages of LEDs – their energy efficiency. You’ll want to have some backup in the case of something like a power cut too.
