Please note that both Warm White (3000K) and Cool White (6000K) options will be backordered until 30th June 2022. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Our 5W Fitted LED Standard Tilt Downlight is as convenient as they come – with everything you need packaged neatly into a single unit. Manufactured by Mirrorstone, this fitted downlight comes with bulbs and driver included, so you don’t need to purchase these bits separately! It slots straight into your mains wiring with its 85-265V input. The only other thing it needs is an 86mm cutting hole to house its 107mm diameter. After installation, the 5 individual LEDs consume just 5W of power, yet they manage to shine with 430 lumens of light! An equivalent halogen would need 50W of energy to match the level of performance offered by our featured downlight. It distributes its light across a 45o beam angle, so it’s ideal for accent and feature lighting. Better yet is that it will keep going for 50,000 hours – that’s well over 15 years in real world terms! It’s not all about what it can do for you though, as there are bits you can customise to make it perfect for your needs. Introducing ReadyLED The ReadyLED range of downlights has had a new facelift, with efficiency being the focus. They have a new heat sink, with higher quality materials being used to dissipate heat at a quicker rate than ever before. The actual lights inside manage to generate even more light from the same low energy usage, ensuring a more eco-friendly fitting. Download the ReadyLED spec sheet here for more information. Tweaking The Options You can choose whether you want warm white (3000K) or cool white (6000K), with both having their advantages depending on where you’re planning on using your 5W downlight. Warm white resembles the shade given off by traditional halogens and helps create a cosy atmosphere. This makes it perfect for places like the living room or bedroom. Cool white is brighter and harsher than the warm, making it much better suited for areas like the office, warehouse or kitchen. On top of this, you can also choose to have dimmable bulbs too. This lets you alter the brightness, though please be aware that you will need a trailing edge dimmer for this. Using a more conventional leading edge dimmer isn’t guaranteed to work and could cause damage to the LEDs themselves. If you’re looking for more light, you should take a look at our 9W Fitted LED Standard Tilt Downlight. It’s a little bit more power hungry at 9W, but also shines brighter at 800 lumens – making it equivalent to a 70W halogen. With so many more types and styles available, you should make sure you have a browse through all our fitted LED downlights where you can find high power, white and frosted downlights.
