Using this LED 'tape' for the unusual purpose of making a child's costume (my son was to be a 'laser'!), I ordered a 4 meter length (ample for my needs). Running 5 strips (15-40cm each) in parallel from 8AA batteries (=12v, the necessary voltage) and drawing about 0.5A current (1.2m used x 4.8W per meter = 5.76W total power, so 5.76W/12V = 0.48A), the LEDs shine brightly with no 'dud' LEDs - everything shines well. Very simple to use: cut to length (only at a designated cut point every 5cm), solder two wires to the contacts, add power. That's it. There is a self-adhesive backing to affix the LED tape to smooth surfaces; the tape is very light weight, so no real concerns. Can be bought with IP65 moister proofing.

Good product and delivery. Warm white LED's give a distinct muted yellow colour.

Gives a good light. 1.5m is enough to light a 10' x 5' shed. But it isn't sticking particularly well to the steel roof.
