What size recommendation would you like to make for the model?
Choose the normal size.
“The Cahor Taupe seems like a great slip-on shoe. I had to return my first pair because of sizing; but I'm chalking that up to my first experience with Wildling's sizing and not holding it against the shoe. The shoe itself is very lightweight, flexible, and stylish. I like that the dying process gives the color some "texture" and that it is a much more environmentally friendly than most other shoe brands.
The width seemed good. I liked the flexible sole, the color, and the material. I did notice that when I walked while trying it on, the material around the opening seemed to fold away from my foot - and I'm not sure if that's just how this model moves or if that was because it was too big for me. The elastic holds the shoe down over your forefoot comfortably, but there is not anything really giving the shoe much structure or holding it around the opening. I don't feel like this would be an issue in the proper size shoe, even if the material does fold a little. Since this was easily a size too large for me, it allowed my foot to slip too much, even though I wore socks to try on the shoes.
I don't believe the sizing issue is a problem with the shoe; but rather these are made in Europe and the conversion to US sizing is not accurate. Just make sure you either know your European shoe size or use the tools on the website to determine the best size for you. Your first return is free and the process is not difficult.
I do love this shoe enough to give it another try in a size 11. I have purchased the Fundo since and that fits well and is super comfortable. So, I may be ordering the Cahor in an 11 soon!”
Hey Brian, thank you for kindly sharing your experience with Cahor. If you're curious to learn more about their exciting natural dye, done using vegetable waste, check out this article about our partner Archroma: https://us.wildling.shoes/blogs/stories/showing-our-colors.
We do recommend chosing your size by using the Wildling Shoes Sizefinder: https://us.wildling.shoes/pages/size-finder. Since shoe sizes are not standardized, they can vary a lot between different brands and regions of the world. You're always welcome to reach out to the customer service team for individual advice before odering: https://us.wildling.shoes/pages/contact. Since Cahor fits a bit more voluminous, we recommend chosing the next smaller size if in between sizes.
Fingers are crossed that they'll be a great fit on the second try 🤞!
Best wishes from the Wildling Shoes Team 🦊
