The Nelus house shoe is lovely and well made, but not quite as warm as I hoped. If you are looking for warmer slippers, I recommend going with one size up and adding an insole. They fit me well with one pair of socks, but I need to wear two socks in the winter. The top of my right foot is larger than the left, so the highest bone under the top of the shoe is sore from constriction with 2 socks. Would it be possible for Wildling to add some suggestions to the FAQs regarding how to stretch the wool in tight areas to adjust the fit? I am keeping this size, as I had worn them a few hours before my foot got irritated, but kept wearing them with two socks on the left foot and one on the right to modify the fit for now! Not the best solution:( Several reviews on the internet said that they run large, so I sized down. In retrospect I wish I had ordered my normal size so that I could add an insole for warmth...but I would still have needed to stretch the right shoe a bit. Overall, I think they are great shoes with lovely wool, a pretty design and a nice amount of wiggle room for a medium toe spread on a skinny foot! I would like to have another pair (size W6 next time) in forest green like the Atento if you ever make them in other colors.
