“We have a fairly remote cabin in the mountains of NC. We are unable to have a land line there and were also unable to get reliable cell service. There is a signal but it is weak. We bought a Wilson signal booster to try and ensure that we could call 911 in emergencies and so people could reach us if need be. After days of trying different parts of the house (and surrounding woods) and laying lots and lots of cable, we did manage to get a signal in one corner of one room in the house. We can now make outgoing calls on our cell phone from that one small area and people can call us, but it is difficult for them to hear us. So, all in all, we do have some service now but not what we had hoped for for a $500 investment.”
