New one for me but well worth it.

Ch Tanunda were wines I was brought up with and they are an old name in Australia. This example is, to my taste, exceptional value. The tannins are really quite refined and whilst the alcohol is really quite high (14.5%) this is not obvious on the palate. Fruit driven, relatively complex mocha flavours, and I think has certainly medium term cellaring. After a first taste I bought another 12. Tanunda are consistent and this is further proof.

Great example of an Aussie red. Goes well with steak and very drinkable now and will age for a few years.

Fruit-driven shiraz as expected with plums and berries compote undertones. I believe it will improve with some cellaring and look forward to seeing the evolution in the year to come (so far consumed 2 of the 12 bottles).

This is a very good example of an Australian Shiraz and extremely good value for money. It is very full bodied dark red and has a lingering mix of fruit, tannin and vanilla overtones from the oak.
