“I have enjoyed previous vintages of the Don David Malbec and this 2023 vintage shapes up as being on a par. The wine is full boddied and well balanced, much to my liking. It gives me the impression that it will improve further with ageing.”

“This rich Andean red has deep smokey notes and I enjoyed it with a chargrilled Angus steak. I have read a lot of amazing stories about the Calchaqui valley Malbecs and how the thick skins on the high altitude grapes adds to the colour and flavours. And everything I was told is true. 5 * out of 5*”

“There I was , minding my own business , sipping on the aforementioned wine, watching the sun set over the glorious Marlborough Sounds, dolphins jumping , blue cod practically jumping up on the beach filleted then..... Boom, 3 gorgeous women came out of water and requested a glass each of the fabulous wine I was enjoying. Good grief I thought to myself, if this is what happens with Malbec just imagine what the Merlot would do. Thank you Winesale without whom I would still be a lonely old twat.”
