“First taste was a bit of a shock. I was expecting a sunny H B Cab/Merlot, but I found this wine very dry and not as luscious as I hoped, but very drinkable with snack food. The next night with a good meal-fish pie I think?!- the second bottle decanted, the wine opened up, lost its sharpness and became a pleasant partner to our food. I rate it 3.5 stars, but 1/2 stars don’t work on the rating system.”
