I was prepared for mediocre functionality, but was most pleasantly surprised. With an extra $25 in a trash can and a couple clamps. I was able to use my 10ft hose cut into 3ft length and 7 ft length, and I was up and running. I am shocked at the difference in performance.

Wow, I am so impressed. I have a small 3/4 hp dust collections system. Using a 4" ductwork that is no more than 20' long, the cyclone lid was placed on a Behrens 31 gal. trashcan I bought at Lowes. The system is hooked up to a table saw, chop saw, and radial arm saw. It works so well, it seems to me that 99% of the dust is collected by the cyclone lid. You won't need any clamps for the lid, the suction holds it very well to the lid with its included gasket.

I have used a Jet 1100c (canister on top) for 8 years. I added a galvanized trash can and this Cyclone Lid to it 2 years ago to make it 2 stages. OMG, I couldn't believe the improvement in the dust being/not being collected in the Jet bag. You have to empty the can after it fills about 1/3 to 1/2 or it will get sucked into the D.S. like before you added this. 4" D.C. plastic hose will fit the two openings on the Lid just secure with hose clamps. Love it!

I recently purchased the Harbor Freight dust collection system. I also purchased the Woodcraft Trash Can Cyclone Lid, and it’s fantastic! the trash can get about 1/3 full and then I empty it. This has been done 3 times and during that time I have about a cereal bowl fool of dust in my dust collection system bag. One day I was cleaning up the shop and it sucked up a chunk of wood that waid several ounces, and it just dropped into the trash can. If it had gone through the propellers system it would probably have destroyed my dust collection system. The Woodcraft Trash Can Cyclone Lid is well worth the price.

Great product. I put this on a $24 HD metal can. Seal is perfect. You can actually pick up the can by the lid when the unit is running. Catches nearly all dust and all debris. I swear I have better suction than before with my 1HP unit. I assume this is because the cloth bag does not get clogged. If you are on the fence, do yourself a favor and pick one up.

The trash can cyclone lid worked better than expected. After filling my metal trash can about a third full there was only about an inch to an inch a half of saw dust inside my bag. The lid is tightly secured with only the dust collectors vacuum. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking empty their collection bag less often. Thanks, for a great product, Roy

I bought this product about a week ago. After I bought the reducers and set up the system to accept my shop vac it worked like a dream. I found the trash can at a local Tractor Supply which was a Behrens 31 Gallon Galvanized Steel Utility/Trash Can. The lid went on as if it was made for it. When my 12.5 gallon 5 hp shop vac was attached and running you could lift the entire can off the ground by the handle of the cyclone lid. No need to strap it down and suction was tight. I had emptied my entire shop vac, wiped clean the inside of it, and changed filter before trying it out. I cleaned up several spots of chips, sawdust, ect. throughout my shop. When I stopped to check I found nothing in the shop vac or in its filter. Everything was in the can and was amazed. When it was running it even made the sound of a cyclone/tornado. I am truly impressed with this product and would recommend to anyone!

I put this in and LOVE it. Works perfectly. It is taking 99.5% of everything into the trash can and only a tiny amount into the shop vac.
