“Bought in store Jan 2019 and had to return them. Two different brands of 3/4 bench dogs fit a bit too snug, but these were really loose. If I whacked them hard enough to hold anything down, it would bang up the dog hole opening and even then they would slip with a little bit of movement. Measured with calipers they were just shy of .7" Bench is pine, 2 1/2" thick. Holes cut with carbide forstner bit.”

“This hold fast is useless. I have nice 3/4" through holes in my bench bored with an auger bit and brace. Inserted to hold a 3/4" thick piece of wood and got no grab...at all. Drilled a 11/16 hole. Inserted the hold fast, and it worked, but it was nearly impossible to remove. Maybe it will work properly with a 23/32 hole, but I have no such auger bit and am not willing to invest more time and effort into this accessory. I suspect that it is fabricated for a metric size. Don't buy if you plan to use with 3/4" bench dog holes.”
