“I recently purchased this set of chisels on sale, and am pleased with both the set and the price. Great shape with nice handles. The chisels are not flat on the back, but I did not really expect them to be flat. The backs were slightly concaved. This did not prove to be a major problem. With some work with the proper grit stones it was possible to correct this. It not necessary to have the whole length of the back of the chisels flat, only a short distance from the cutting edge of the chisel; however in my case I was able to get most of the back flat without too much trouble. I would recommend this set to anyone who is willing to take a little time to work on the back of the chisels.”

“I purchased an 1/8th" WoodRiver chisel and the blade was not in line with the socket which makes the chisel useless. Fit and finish was poor. These chisels are not fit for even a beginning woodworker.”

“The chisels seem nicely made and honed to a very nice edge, but two of the handles have snapped. I have used them carefully and only with light mallet taps or by hand. They're not worth the money even if Woodcraft gives me replacement handles.”

“I got this set as a gift for Christmas and two of the handles broke in the socket. Only buy these if you have a lathe and can make replacement handles. Now I only have two handles for four chisels. I would not recommend these.”

“These are really good chisels for the price. Set-up was minimal (the backs needed a little flattening, as per usual with new tools). The chisels took an edge quickly and have held up well so far. The handles feel good in the hand and fit well into their sockets.”
