“These were on sale and I can see why. As soon as I open the bag looking at the clip and plunger mechanism someone had filed down the plating. Using a micrometer I measured the ID of the tube and the OD of the clip mechanism that accepts the tube and there was about a 10 to 12 mm difference. This means when pressing in you're finished blank on to the mechanism you will split the blank wide open because of the tightness. I have experienced this before on other pen kits where it was excessively tight pressing in. If you get this put it back in the bag and take it back to where you got it from for a refund. Other than that it is a nice looking pen kit however the excessive tolerances defeat the purpose.”

“First let me say that I am a loyal Woodcraft customer. I am very disappointed in the Wrench click pen kit. I bought 5 kits and could only get 2 to work properly. I've been making pens for many years and have lots of experience with click mechanisms. This mechanism is so flimsy that even when following the directions to the letter (don't over tighten!) I still had 3 that wouldn't work. I'm not sure if I can sell these pens as the mechanism is so fragile that it may break at the slightest wrong turn. I love Woodcraft and am surprised that they let this one out of the box so soon.”

“Why would you design something so fragile and then not give instructions in the packaging to put it together. Tried to put it together without the instructions and it broke.”
