I was hesitant about trying this kit due to some of the older, negative reviews and it's not cheap. It appears that Woodriver has listened and fixed the prior issues. I've made several of these now and have had zero problems. Customers love these. I pair it with bright colored, "fun" type blanks. Feels good in the hand, nice weight, and an easy-to-assemble kits. I'll be buying more!

All the Kaleidoscope Pen Kits have been updated for the Clip Assembly (C) containing the colored sparkle beads pre-assembled which do not come apart. From the instruction sheet, simply follow the "By hand, press Clip Assembly (C) over the Ink Refill (D) and onto the end of the Nib/Twist Mechanism Assembly (A)." There is no separation of the contained beads to come apart, as it is now one unit.

A fun pen kit to make but the little chamber that holds the sparkly bits comes apart too quickly and the bits get lost. I spent 10 minutes looking for the bits recently before glueing it back together. I do not recommend this pen kit.

I bought 8 of these kits between online and in-store. Every one of them the came apart and had to be glued together. They are a very interesting pen and create a lot of conversation, but I am concerned about selling them (or even giving them away) in case the glue doesn't hold.

I sell pens at craft fairs and have probably made well over 100 pens and this pen has consistent problems. The Kaleidoscope pens seem to sell fairly well, but I have had to return several because the upper part of the pen comes apart. I just bought a couple more for an up coming fair and the upper section came apart while I was assembling it.

I've purchased several of these pen kits. When they work young people love them. It is a 50/50 proposition that they will perform. The problem is the "magic" chamber. It comes apart all too often. A.H. has had this problem also. I find repairing it is more trouble than it is worth. Until this problem is fixed I'll not purchase another one. The product has great potential!
