“I bought these because they were discounted so much. Had I read the reviews first, I probably wouldn't have bought them. The reviews were right. They seem very cheap and flimsy. And like the reviews said, only one of them had something to keep the battery fresh. Now I have to find 2 LR44 batteries. I'm going to keep them just because they were so cheap, but there's no way they are worth anything close to what they normally cost.”

“I ordered these because I thought they would be handy in the shop and in the house ... and they will be, when I get new batteries. They were shipped with the batteries installed and they each worked ... once. There was no barrier to keep the batteries from discharging that you usually find in things shipped with the batteries installed. There were no instructions on the packaging showing how to open the battery case and it was not intuitive. I figured it out by process of elimination. I'm going to get new batteries and I fully expect they will do the jobs I have for them to do. It was only when I looked at the package, trying to find battery change information that I saw "made in China". Come on, Woodcraft, we expect more out of you.”

“TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. 2 OF 3 BATTERIES ARRIVED DOA - DEAD ON ARRIVAL. THE WAY THE CALIPERS ARE PACKAGED AND SHIPPED IT IS PRETTY MUCH A SURE THING THAT AT LEAST 2 OF THE 3 BATTERIES WILL ARRIVED DEAD, TOTALLY DISCHARGED, UNUSABLE, MAKING 2 OF THE 3 CALIPERS UNUSABLE UPON ARRIVAL. I AM GOING TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REQUEST A FULL REFUND AND OF COURSE SEND THIS BACK. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!”

“Batteries died on two of the calipers before I had a chance to use them and they donâ€™t seem to be replaceable. Was using the third one today and the battery is almost dead.”

“Spending close to $50.00 for these 3 calipers is the worst purchase I ever made. The depth gauge quit working the 2nd day. The other 2 are cheaply made and with no slide locks. They all three move at the slightest touch, and turn on randomly burning the batteries to a crisp. Woodcraft is known for the quality of their products and high end service. This product does not belong in their arsenal.”

“The calipers only go to 1/100th of an inch, 2 decimal places, not "with a resolution of 0.01mm/0.0005"." as noted in the description. The depth gage does match the description. While customer service was quick I wasn't happy with the only solution offered - return the product.”
