“In the interest of fairness I give three stars, although that could be reduced. I have finished using this product but not yet put it in service. My issues are: Documentation concerning usage and application were inadequate. It is stated that you get 70 square feet of coverage per kit. Is this for both coats or for each coat? I got 16 square feet of coverage for the hard coat, that was not thick at all, and 24 square feet coat for top coat. This was on a pomelle bubinga table top. No where was advice given that the surface should be sealed with a coat of shellac sanding sealer or tung oil before application to allow the buildup of a thicker surface coat. On line videos show very thick layers during application, my experience was very quick absorption. The finished surface is neat and without blemish, but appears thin. Coverage protection to be determined. I bought this because I thought it might be a "better mousetrap" that would reduce total labor time and effort. It is an expensive product. I don't mind spending the money if the results justify the cost. Cost/benefit value will need time to tell. What can be done immediately is to provide more extensive documentation and application advice.”
