These connectors are Mag-nificent. I'm so glad someone came up with this simple design nothing you have to twist lock in tabs etc. Just line the mating parts up and the strong magnets on the hose connector snaps flanges together in a strong bond. Simplistic design that works perfectly. I hooked it up under my carving down draft table. When I'm not power carving it's disconnected and out of the way. Again simple quick and effortless. The integrated rubber coupler makes the machine part a snap to install with a nice snug fit. The attached clamp screw nut is a odd size 7mm or use a screwdriver but I prefer to use a nut driver to tighten. Fast delivery WV to CA IN 6 days. Very pleased with my purchase.

I particularly like this coupling that directly hooks to a machine on either end without the need for a hose to adapt to. I find it the most reliable hold. While I see some notations that the magnets are not strong enough, I have not found that to be the case so long as one is not trying to stretch the hose farther than the magnets are able to hold. For instance, I was sweeping up the floor, and I needed to go farther than the hose could reasonably go. The magnet could not hold me stretching it farther than was reasonable (which, to be fair, was only an issue of hose length and not the magnets). Other than that, the magnets hold securely, and it's so much easier than constantly undoing or re-doing hose clamps. I've put these on nearly all of my machines in my garage shop, including 4-inch to 2-inch hoses and adapters also (some tools use a 2-inch). It all works seamlessly with one 4" hose coupler I have on my large dust extractor hose (both ends).

I bought two of these to put onto my drum sander and router table. I have a common dust collection hose that I move between these two machines. The magnets hold well and separates easily. I would recommend using them.

I've got one of these on each of my machines. They make moving the dust collection hose from machine to machine very easy and quick. The magnets seem strong enough to securely seal the connectors. I hope that the materials they're made of will hold up under the abuse they'll receive in the shop.

Great idea, however magnets to weak to hold securely. Tested the couplings on the most direct connection I have...Saw Stop PCS to a DC hose laying flat on the ground. While I could eventually get the coupling to hold on a hose drop of no more than 6", any movement of the hose caused it to disconnect. I will be returning this coupling and all the others to the store.

A very novel concept, however the magnets are not strong enough to hold a solid connection. I test fit the connection on my Saw Stop PCS, a machine with minimal drop to the floor and a straight connection to my DC hose. While I could fiddle with it to make it stay connected, any movement from my DC hose would cause it to disconnect. I will be returning the set.

Nice idea but magnets are too weak.

These new all-in-one Magfitt couplings are made of a combo of overmolded flexible rubber at the machine side and ABS plastic where the mag coupling flares. They are more expensive than just the plastic coupling, but cheaper (and shorter overall for space constraints) than the plastic coupler plus flex cuff which was previously required to mate the old style. It does come with the pictured metal clamp. I assume they were made to address complaints that the prior system required separate flex cuffs. I see no downsides! You save about 25%. Added and now using on 3 of my machines.
