Excellent tool. Performs equally well in fine finishing sanding and robust material removal. Well balanced. Maintains constant RPM’s under varying loads. Far superior to my year old Bosch ROS. Worth the money.

This is the second sander I purchased; I now have 2 of them. I have a shop at home and a shared shop with 3 other men. I have a Bosch at the home shop, I upgraded to this one. The difference between the Bosch and the Fest is like night and day. It works great with the fest vac., the vibration is very minimal. A real pleasure to use!

My Porter Cable 330 finally died after 40 years and I needed a new sander. It was time to treat myself to a really high quality tool so I went straight to Festool. My experience with them has been perfect. The sander arrived in time for the holidays and what a difference. So much smoother than my PC 330 using the same grit. I'm a hobbyist and make picture frames, toys, small tables, etc. Can't wait to really put it to work on a real project.

I really like this sander! It’s very smooth running with barely any vibration, quiet, comfortable and just does everything a little better than other brands including my DEWALT. Noticeable improvement in fine finish sanding. Highly recommended.

I am a hobbyist woodworker, and I bought this to upgrade from the dewalt 5” orbital sander. I know Festool makes bigger sanders, and different models with differing strokes, but for the projects I work on (boxes, jewelry boxes, occasional serving board, and smaller furniture items) I felt this would work just fine. I’ve been very pleasantly surprised with how well it works. I know some people say it’s not great, but I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with it. The included dust bags works incredibly well, although I am mostly hooked up to dust collection anyway. I used 3M Cubitron sandpaper with it, and the results are quite a step up from my past sander. I recommend for the hobbyist, if you’re a full time or desiring to do more full time woodworking, I would say look at the other Festool models, but for a hobbyist, 10/10
