I recently upgraded from an old Rockwell 46-111, so the 18/36 is like a Cadillac. So far I am impressed with the build and performance.

I bought a Revo 18/36 lathe from my local Woodcraft during the July 4 promotion sale. Part of the sale was a light kit. On July-4 I sent in the receipt and got an acknowledgement that I'd submitted everything and was good to go. A few weeks ago I sent an email to their customer support that went into the black hole. Today I called the number on the acknowledgment and it's not in service. I called the general number and was dumped (voicemail full). I tried the operator and was just dumped. What's going on?

The lathe worked for five months then died. Was told it needed a new relay which they sent to me. I was unable to remove the panel in the headstock to replace the relay as the screw holding it in place was stripped. I guess it was stripped when the lathe was assembled. Terrible customer service from Laguna. I highly recommend another lathe from another company.

If you are considering getting a bigger lathe get this Laguna Revo 18/36! My wife got me one for my birthday and I really have to say I’m blessed. I have turned on other brand lathes and I love the Laguna. This lathe has a ton of nice features and power along with size. You will need another strong helper to assemble the lathe. I had some help with mine and got it cleaned up. I have turned a few spindles and have several bowels glued up almost ready to turn. You will be happy with this lathe. If you are one the fence about this lathe just get one.

Purchased my lathe from the Madison, WI store. This is my second lathe and I wanted something with which I could turn larger bowls and hollow forms. Very happy with the quality and performance of the lathe. Does everything I want it to do and more. I had an issue with a faulty switch and after contacting Laguna, they sent it out immediately. Excellent customer service from the manufacturer.
