About Woodworkers Supply Inc:

Woodworker's Supply, Inc. was founded in 1972 by John Wirth, Jr. and Billie Jean Wirth with seven employees in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our philosophy has always been to serve professional and tasteful amateur woodworkers in supplying their machinery, tools, and other woodworking needs. We grew rapidly in the 1980's, and were proudly named to the Inc 500 list of the Top 500 Fastest Growing Companies in 1987, 1988 and 1989. Our ownership is still the same and Billie Jean still manages the company. Our 40,000 ft2 Albuquerque facility currently holds our fulfillment operation for the central, southwest, and western states plus our marketing department.

“Brought an old Woodtek ribbon/combo sander back to life - previously was unable to track the ribbon sanding belt because the hole in this top idler shaft, through which a spring pin goes, was worn open resulting in a lot of play in the setup that shouldn't exist. I was amazed this replacement part existed, and it certainly did the job of fixing that problem. However one issue is the replacement part did not exactly match the old part, some of the axial dimensions were off by a few millimeters, meaning the part would not work without some modification - I drilled out the hole through which the adjustment knob goes, so that it could be assembled without interference. The attached image shows new part (upper) is visibly shorter, necessitating this modification.”
