“These shelf standards are very heavy-duty and each to install. I would have rated them 5-star except that, until weight is placed on the shelf bracket, they will fall off if even lightly touched or bumped. My solution was to cut 15/32-inch strips of wood to use as "keepers". A slight taper allows the keepers to be tapped into place and held with an interference fit. With a keeper installed, the brackets are securely held in place. A small hole drilled in each keeper allows it to be removed.”
