Holtzapffel Pattern Walnut Handle Reviews

5 Rating 6 Reviews
Read Workshop Heaven Reviews

Patterned after an old Holtzapffel design these supremely comfortable walnut handles work with an unusually wide range of tool sizes. The narrow neck gives them the feeling of precision required for small tools whilst the large bulb allows for a more manly grip for the bigger stuff - a very clever shape indeed.
The brass ferrules will patinate over time giving a more 'antique' look. For those that prefer them polished, an occasional wipe with Brasso or fine abrasive will brighten them to a shine.
Approx length 140mm / 5½"
Ferrule diameter 18mm / ¹¹⁄₁₆" external - 16mm / ⅝" internal
Diameter of widest point 29mm / 13⁄16"
Made in Sheffield, England.

This beautiful handle was slightly too small for the application I wanted to use it for ( garden hand trowel ) however I have found a use for it , amazing quality piece . Thank you

I was very impressed with the quality of the workmanship in this handle. I needed a new handle for an old garden trowel that has been in the family a long time. It's a beatiufully made trowel and I'm so glad it's now helping me once again with the garden, with a beautiful new handle. Very comfortable to use.

I have been using these handles to replace the handles on my carving tools that are not aimed at being used with a mallet (fishtails, spoon bents, and back bents). y other tools are all Ashley Isles, aimed at more at mallet work. These handles definitely make a visual impact in this regard!

I make tools and regularly make handles on a lathe but I just ordered a few of these to handle new tools simply because they are superbly made...of quality hardwood and brass and at that price...well...I couldn't make them for that price! As good as they look in pictures...no...BETTER!
