The new heavy duty range of jewellers saws from Knew Concepts applies the braced design and thicker material used in the 6.5" blade Knew Concepts coping saw, to the 5" blade jewellers saw range.By sacrificing a tiny bit of weight (they are still very light indeed) this design gives the frame greater strength, rigidity and durability.Rather than three positions on the swivel blade version, the Mk4 HD has eight stops - i.e. every 45 degrees.They still use standard 5" plain ended blades - available in a massive range of pitches and tooth configurations.In short, the best just got even better!

“I'm glad I was asked to write a review. Don't be misled by the three stars! As a bespoke cabinet maker, the 'Knew Concept saw' only one week in seems perfect. It cuts accurately with no distortion in the frame or blade, and the blade angle adjustment is far easier to adjust than any other type. So why three stars? Buying options are limited. I purchased mine from 'Workshop Heaven'. A company that stocks good quality tools. I dropped the two stars because they use UPS as couriers and paid just over £9.00 for next-day delivery. Not only did they arrive three days later. UPS give you a notification of between 8am and END OF DAY! I lost half a day's work time having to wait at the delivery point as a one-man band with a workshop behind my premises. DPD's courier's software & algorithm give you an hour window and within that hour a countdown by text in minutes until 'You are the next delivery'. For trade people, it's not just a question of tool quality. If suppliers use this type of courier; I'll think again before buying from them.”
