Very seldom do I feel compelled to leave reviews for tools, usually only leaving as an informative, albeit negative, review as possible . In this case, I have been left pleasantly stunned by the quality of this blade. I have long thought that I just didn't have the knack for resawing panels of any size or species, based on my lack of success using a few different sizes of Gyokucho and Hishika saws. Not only did it take an age to finish even small panels, I'd usually end up with egregious overlapping in the centre (which I've never been able to understand how this is possible). After slipping it out of it's wallet, I burst out laughing at just how beefy this chap is and upon testing it out on some Cherry and Ash, the results spoke for themselves. Only some slight ridges, which planed out with a few strokes of my No. 5, which is better than what I usually get off the bandsaw! I had considered buying the 295mm Hishika ryoba, but for around a fifth of the price, I can't in good conscience justify spending the money on that saw when I have seemingly found the perfect blade for hand resawing.
