One of our most popular tools, the Quangsheng low angle block plane is a really useful piece of kit. Block planes tend to be among the first tools that people buy, they are a staple of the basic toolkit for most types of woodworking.
Block planes are used for chamfering waste to eliminate breakout, tidying up the ends of boards after cutting to length, and fixing any slight inaccuracies from the earlier stages of production. The short sole makes them ideal for tidying up little patches of tearout and their relatively light weight means that after a while you almost use them without thinking.

T10 iron hardened to RC60-63
Sole Dimensions: 6½" x 1¾" (165mm x 44mm)
Bedding angle: 12 degrees
Primary bevel: 25 degrees
Supplied as standard with the 25 degree iron

“I bought this plane to replace my old Stanley low angle block plane which had served me for 30 years, it was delivered in 2 days which I was very impressed as living in the Scottish highlands can sometimes take a week y to I get things delivered, it came in a nice box and as others mentioned coated in machine oil , after wiping it down and using it I am very pleased with the accuracy and finish on it many thanks.”

“The item arrived the next day as promised. Well packed and arrived safely. The plane is nicely boxed and packaged for storing safely. The blade only needed a light sharpe with 1000 and 6000 stone and then honed. I have used it on end grain on oak boards. The plane is a nice feel in the hand. Very pleased with this purchase.”

“After wiping off the transit oil from all the parts, filing off the sharp edges from the body and frog, checking the blade and honing a microbevel this beautifully made plane is an absolute joy to use. I wouldn't hesitate to thoroughly recommend it and the service was excellent.”

“I think that you get a lot of plane for your money. The quality and finish of the tool is excellent. When I sharpened the iron the back was perfectly flat and needed no " fettling " A good product at a sensible price.”
