Very happy with this marking knife which can be used with flat of blade to the left or to the right simply by flipping it over. I refer it to a scalpel as the blade sits flat against the wood you are marking from rather than being held at an angle to get into the edge where the cut is not then quite vertical. The bevel faces are big enough to allow easy sharpening simply by putting a finger onto the blade to hold the bevel down flat on the gringing stone.

Years of using pencils/sharpies or a handy awl are now gone thanks to this. I like the ambidextrous blade and the length and weight. For the money, its a great value tool

Fantastic scoring knife! MUCH tougher than a scalpel yet not a great deal less sharp and holds it's edge amazingly well. I admit to some byass where Narex is concerned, their chisels, especially the Richter series have to be the best value available. Another thing I like about WH is this knife is £10 cheaper than the Ubiquitous Brazilian river Co, so 5*'s all round here

Great marking knife, leaves a nice crisp line, and the steel is good so quick to sharpen.Wish they stocked the 1.5mm bladed knife to go with it, great for dovetails
