Used by jewellers with a calico mop for final polishing of gold, brass, copper, nickel, plastics and horn to a mirror finish.It is excellent for smoothing the finished edge on a tool and squeezing the last ounce of sharpness from the steel. Because it is so fine you can touch up an edge more times between sharpenings than you could with pink.Jewellers Rouge is also a favourite for applying to leather hand strops as a cheaper alternative to Chromium oxide paste.
