So far I have only used tge standard iron, but after a quick hone it produces transparent shavings on some teak. Very pleased and glad I bought it

Got to say this Plane is very good, came with the extra Blades, and at a great price in the Sale. Well machined, everything square and flat, just needed a touch up on the Blade, cut lovely after that. The weight of this Plane is just right too, push it over the wood and it glides along with no problems. Well pleased with this plane, glad i brought this, and would recommend this Plane if anyone is thinking of buying it. Comes well packaged, and delivery time is good too. Many thanks Workshop Heaven

The plane arrived in a nice wooden box, although mine might have received a blow in transit as one side was cracked and splintered quite badly. Fortunately the plane inside was unscathed and looked well made, with sharp castings and cleanly machined surfaces. The two spare blades are a bonus with this plane, giving it a level of versatility that many other plane types lack. My only (minor) quibble is that my blades weren't especially well-setup out of the box. It wasn't an impossible issue to refine the edges and give the blades a degree of polishing (that will doubtless improve with time) but I did feel a touch put out to have them quite so poor - it really was impossible to use the plane as it arrived. That being said, with the blades converted to 'hair popping' sharpness, I now have a tool that will produce beautiful full-width, curly shavings, all while making a very satisfying 'ssshhrp' sound. Perhaps I'm being a touch harsh, this plane is ~2/3rds of the price of a LN/Veritas (the blades for those are ~£100 each on top). Nonetheless, I'm removing a star for the broken box and slightly extended set up time.

This plane is a bargain. With the extra blades and brilliant build quality you can’t go wrong. Everything was true out of the (nice wooden) box. The blades were very sharp and quite useable. All in all a really good plane. Not a LN or a Veritas but nowhere near as expensive. Good quality control by Workshop Heaven. Really happy.
