This is an excelent tent that is as simple as it is functional, takes just a few minutes to put up with no hassle, has a large amount of usable space whilst having a relatively small foot print. The standing area is limited to the center line of the tent front to back, but this is enough to make walking into and out of the tent easy and provides more than enough space to move around in and to get dressed standing up. The moment you sit down on a normal height folding chair it opens up pretty much the entire tent area as usable space. Being polly cotton canvas it is on the heavy side, but with that extra weight comes a durability you just don't get with ripstop nylon, it's much less likely to tear if something / someone falls into it, or burn a hole in it from a stray ember from a fire, or be ripped to pieces in high winds. The only thing it doesn't have is an inner tent, the layout is such that if you added a permanent inner tent you would lose a great deal of the usable space and the nice large open feel this tent has. The heavyweight canvas makes this tent warmer than a lighter weight ripstop nylon tent would be, so an inner tent isn't needed as much, I was more than comfortable on a camp bed with a decent sleeping bag. The only issue might be insects, it does have built in meshes in the windows but it's nice to protect your sleeping area separately, I plan to solve that problem with a simple mosquito net if the bugs are out in force, the advantage being that it can just be tied out of the way during the day. The great thing with this tent is with the doors pinned open this tent becomes part of the campsite that you just wander in and out of, you can talk to people sitting in it while cooking out side etc. And the absolute best thing is having the doors wide open lying back on your camp bed looking out at a fantastic view.
